Ute Németh Artist and Web Site Designer
A short Autobiography:
I was born and raised in Germany (former West Germany) near Austria and the Switzerland and I lived in the US since 1973. I graduated from a Professional School in Mainz/Rhein, Germany where I studied to become a Kindergarten Teacher. Amongst me fields of study was Art. Literature and child's psychology. I was State certified and licensed to work in Daycare Centers and Kindergartens in Germany. I traveled extensively and vacationed in Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland and the Canarian Islands. I lived in Johannesburg South Africa for 2 years. In 1973 I came to the USA and lived at first in Topeka, KS. I then moved on to Kansas City MO where I found (or was found) by my now Ex-husband. I was married for twenty-four years and raised four children which are now grown. We moved to Colorado. I then divorced in 1997. I tried to establish myself in Tampa, Fl but found that I have the need to be close to my children and my grandchild. During those twenty-four years of marriage I was mostly a housewife and mother but always involved in art and feeling the need to create beautiful things.
I have encountered many different cultures and lived amongst them. I therefore have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and impressions concerning places, people and things. To experience that certain feel and spirit of a place and to adjust was and is an adventure. I am a curious person with an insatiable hunger to explore and experience and I always am intrigued by what appears to be exotic to me.
I am an artist at heart. I have a need to create, be it in writing, painting, music, wood carving or glass etching, using a sand blaster. I have done custom work in the glass etching field, designing patterns and still-life, florals and geometrical lay outs for such pieces as glass partitions, storefront signs, patio doors, shower doors and mirrors, anything that adds a decorative touch in glass to a home or place of business. I am also a writer and poet. I am published and I won twice in different poetry contests the entrance into the semi finals. I am proud of this accomplishment because my native language is not English but German. I have also written children's stories and am in the process of publishing these.
As an artist I like to experiment with different types of media. The computer has become just an other tool for me to use in creating beautiful designs and putting my ideas in visual and written form. I am now trying my hand in web design, computer graphics, illustrations and animations. Unfortunately, my animations have too many frames to upload quickly and I am hesitant to do add other animations to this web site because of this. I might try to do so at a later time.
